Time has slipped by and I am behind the power curve. Wish they offered a crash course in Time Management for Retirees. Will now attempt to bring every one up to date since our last OGP. On our trek to Washington D.C. for the dedication we decided to turn the trip into an extended vacation. First stop was St. Paul, MN to visit with our daughter and grandkids for a few days. Dan Flynn served as Master of Ceremonies. He opened the dedication with the introduction of Staff Members from the U.S. Navy Memorial who gave a short history about the Memorial Wall, followed with the film "Victory at Sea". Tom McMahon gave the invocation, followed by a presentation from your Prez on how the "Association" came about and where we are today. Kent Fairchild read the names of shipmates and spouses who have passed since the Minneapolis reunion, ending with the ringing of the bell as the last name was read. The plaque was displayed on the screen behind us and the playing of "Taps" concluded the dedication. My sincere thanks to those shipmates and family members who attended. A special thanks to John Wonderling and his family who traveled to the dedication from Zanesville, Ohio. From D.C. we made our way to New York City for a few days, did the tourist tours, and had a great>>>>>>
